We had a little bit of fun getting a ferry this morning, since the lack of car kinda cancelled our booking. However a couple of phone calls to the AA (im Deutschland AACA/ADAC) and we got a seat on the next P&O out of Calais

After a gruelling 10 hours of driving, we have finally arrived in Calais. Now its time for a well deserved pint.
Carl still hasn't overcome his shyness.

It seems that we have had a bit of a trade-in, in the form of a VW Golf. Ded good!

The car may or may not be broke.
We believe its the steering belt, but what do we know. Nothing.

Taking 5 minutes after the 500km drive...planning on getting some shuteye just after Berlin

Today is not going well. Carl's navigating can only be described as shit - we would have been better off rolling a dice. After two hours driving we are still about 15 minutes from the hotel and i actually had to lock my door at one point because Carl routed up through the getto.
It turns out that in poland very little notice is given to drivers about oncoming trams. Mcpete didn't notice the flashing lights or the little tram bell ringing as he rolled the car onto the tracks. We missed the tram by about 6 ft, and the driver seemed really pleased to see three brits in a big red 4x4 with 'this is sparta' written down the side pulling onto his tracks. The tram stopped and we legged it.

Its now time to celebrate, so we are off into town to toast to our fortune, and the good friends we have made!
